Frequently Asked Questions
Strip Out Squad
What is a strip-out service?
A strip-out (or soft strip) is the removal of non-structural elements inside a property before renovation or refurbishment.
This typically includes kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, ceilings, and fixtures — leaving the space clear and ready for the next stage of work.
How much does a strip-out cost?
Every job is different, so pricing depends on:
Size of the property
Amount of material to remove
Access to the site
Waste disposal requirements
Timeframe
As a rough guide, most jobs fall somewhere between £400–£800, but we’ll always provide a clear quote based on your specific job.
Do you work with trades and installers?
Yes — a large part of our work comes from trades and installers.
We regularly work with:
Kitchen installers
Bathroom fitters
Builders and property developers
Letting agents and landlords
Outsourcing the strip-out allows you to focus on installation without losing time on rip-outs, waste removal, or site clearance.
We can:
Prepare the space before you arrive
Work to your schedule
Ensure everything is cleared and ready for install
If you have ongoing work, we’re happy to support on a regular basis.
How do I get a quote?
The quickest way is to send us photos via WhatsApp.
From there:
We review the job
Provide a clear quote
Agree a date if you’re happy
No obligation and no pressure.
Do I need to be on-site?
Not necessarily.
As long as we have access and clear instructions, we can carry out the work without you being there.
How long does a strip-out take?
Most standard residential strip-outs are completed within one day.
Larger or more complex jobs may take longer, but we’ll confirm timings in advance.
What’s included in your service?
Most jobs include:
Removal of kitchens and bathrooms
Lifting flooring and tiles
Removal of fixtures and fittings
Non-structural elements such as cupboards, units, and finishes
Full waste clearance
Important:
We carry out soft strip work only. Structural work (including load-bearing walls or major alterations) is not included unless explicitly agreed in advance.
If you’re unsure, just ask — we’ll confirm exactly what’s covered before quoting.
Do you remove and dispose of all waste?
Yes.
All waste is removed from site and handled responsibly using licensed waste carriers.
Where possible, materials are sorted and recycled.
Are you insured?
Yes — we carry public liability insurance.
We also follow safe working practices and handle waste in line with UK regulations.
What about asbestos?
We are not licensed asbestos removal contractors.
If asbestos or suspected hazardous materials are present, work will be paused and specialist removal will be required before continuing.
If you’re unsure, it’s always best to flag it in advance.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes.
We take a £95 non-refundable deposit to secure your booking. This covers scheduling and reserved time.
Can I reschedule my booking?
Yes — as long as you give at least 48 hours’ notice.
In most cases, we can move your booking and transfer the deposit to a new date.
What areas do you cover?
We cover North Wales and surrounding areas.
If you’re unsure whether we cover your location, just ask.
Do you offer the cheapest price?
Not always — and that’s intentional.
Strip-out work needs to be done properly, safely, and in line with regulations. We focus on providing a reliable service that avoids problems later in your project.
What happens if something unexpected is found?
Occasionally we uncover things that weren’t visible initially (e.g. hidden materials or additional work).
If that happens:
We’ll explain the situation
Provide options
Agree any changes before continuing
No additional work is carried out without your approval.
How do I book?
Simple:
Send us photos or details
Receive your quote
Pay the deposit to secure your date
We carry out the work and clear the site
